On Saturday afternoon, the NBA playoffs kicked off with a matchup between the Philadelphia 76ers and the Brooklyn Nets.

While most fans didn't expect the Nets to be competing for a spot in the playoffs, the 76ers were seen as one of the favorites to win the Eastern Conference with LeBron James leaving for the Los Angeles Lakers.

Despite entering the game as the favorite, Philadelphia found itself outmatched as Brooklyn found balanced scoring from its lineup.

Losing to the Nets is one thing, but it only got worse for Philadelphia fans.

Trailing late in the fourth quarter, star center Joel Embiid was caught by ESPN's cameras looking at a phone with Amir Johnson on the 76ers' bench.

Check it out.

It's a terrible look for your star player to be looking at a phone while suffering a double-digit loss to an underdog.

Embiid struggled throughout the game, going just 5-of-15 from the floor, including 0-of-5 from beyond the arc.

In the final minutes of the game, Brooklyn holds a 13-point lead. Philadelphia fans booed their team during the fourth quarter and now it looks like there's ample reason to do so.

The Nets will leave the weekend with a 1-0 series lead over the favorite.
