It's an eventful day for the Beilein family. The patriarch of the family, John Beilein, is set to lead his Michigan Wolverines into the Sweet 16. Meanwhile, his oldest son, Patrick, has landed a new job.

Patrick Beilein, the head coach at Le Moyne, has landed a new head coaching position.

Niagara has hired the son of the Michigan head coach to lead their program.

The school officially announced the news on social media.

"Patrick Beilein, a rising star in the coaching profession, has been named the 22nd head coach of the Niagara University men's basketball program," they announced.

Patrick Beilein, 36, played collegiately at West Virginia.

The son of the Michigan/West Virginia head coach began his coaching career with the Wolverines. He served as a GA in Ann Arbor, Mich. from 2008-10. Patrick Beilein then coached at Dartmouth, Bradley, West Virginia Wesleyan and in the NBA for the Utah Jazz.

Patrick Beilein had been Le Moyne's head coach since 2015, going 77-41 and leading the program to three straight Division II NCAA Tournaments.
