John Wall was a phenomenon coming out of Kentucky and was once the face of the new look Washington Wizards post-Gilbert Arenas.

Wall spent nine seasons as the Wizards' floor general, making five All-Star teams, earning a first-team All-NBA nod, and leaving as the team's career leader in assists and steals. He also helped lead Washington to four playoff appearances over that span.

Now with the Wizards looking for a point guard, The Athletic reports John Wall would be open to returning to the franchise he once called home.

NBA Twitter was all over Wall's potential homecoming. "I’m with this as long as we not the ones paying him 47Ms," one Wizards fan said.

"Pull up," another user said.

"Please make it happen," a fan tweeted at the Wizards handle.

"He wanna be back in Rosebar," joked a D.C. native.

"He should be hooping somewhere for sure.." another replied.

"I ain’t gonna lie he in this position cause of Russ," an NBA fan said.

"You know what, I wouldn’t even be mad at this," another Wizards fan said.

It's not clear if the Wizards want to turn back the clock. But if they do, Wall is apparently ready and willing.
