Just as he does every year, former NFL quarterback Johnny Manziel is trending ahead of tonight's draft.

Coming off an electrifying collegiate career with Texas A&M that saw him collect 7,820 yards, 63 touchdowns, a Heisman Trophy and the iconic nickname "Johnny Football," Manziel was no doubt one of the most highly-discussed prospects heading into the 2014 NFL Draft.

But despite the notoriety and hype surrounding his name, he ultimately slid down draft boards until he was taken with the No. 22 overall pick by the Cleveland Browns.

The Twitter account "Freezing Cold Takes" shared a video of former draft analyst Jon Gruden pushing teams to select Manziel throughout the entirety of the first round in 2014.

Others brought up the song "Draft Day" by Drake which name drops Manziel in its opening line.

Through two seasons as quarterback for the Browns, Manziel logged just 1,675 yards, seven touchdowns and seven interceptions en route to a 2-6 record as a starter.

Manziel recently made headlines suiting up as a quarterback alongside legendary wide receiver Terrell Owens in the Fan Controlled Football league.
