The Buffalo Bills may have just dodged a bullet with their rookie quarterback Josh Allen. He left today's preseason game after taking a blow to the head.

Allen's head hit the turf in the end zone after he released a pass and was brought down by Cincinnati Bengals' defender Carlos Dunlap. His head snapped pretty violently, and he went to the locker room shortly thereafter.

Fortunately, it looks like Allen avoided a concussion. He was evaluated for a head injury and cleared to return.

Here is the play where Allen's head smacked against the New Era Field turf.

It is good for Allen and for the Bills that he was cleared to return. Concussions are no joke, so they can breathe a sigh of relief he didn't suffer one.

However, we wouldn't expect Allen to come back in today. The Bills' line is a mess and he already narrowly avoided injury.

Nathan Peterman is coming into the game. Expect him to play extensively in the second half.
