Monday morning, we got some shocking college basketball news. Michigan head coach John Beilein, who had been with the Wolverines since 2007, announced he'd be leaving the program to become the next head coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers. Obviously, Michigan now needs to find its next head coach.

Many are mentioning Billy Donovan - who coached Florida to two national titles in the 2000s. Others are wondering if the Wolverines could bring back one of their former stars.

Juwan Howard, who played for Michigan as one of the Fab Five back in the early 1990s, is an up-and-coming coach. In fact, some believed he was a candidate for the Cavaliers job himself.

Could he be interested in returning to his alma mater instead of staying on the NBA path? It's an interesting question. Of course, Michigan would have to want him, too.

Howard was part of the most iconic era in Michigan basketball history. He also had a long, successful NBA career - playing in the league from 1994 until 2013. He's got the pedigree.

What he doesn't have is experience recruiting - which is a big deal in college basketball. But given his name, he'd have a huge head start.

We'll see which direction Michigan heads in. The Wolverines are going to have a tough time replacing Beilein regardless of the route.
