Rob Garrison, an actor best known for his role in the iconic Karate Kid movie, has tragically died at the age of 59.
The actor, who played Tommy in the 1984 film, reportedly died on Friday. The West Virginia native had been getting treated for liver and kidney issues.
Garrison had been a part of the YouTube show Cobra Kai.
His representative released the following statement to CNN:
"Rob was a great person and ambassador to 'The Karate Kid' legacy," Rick Henriques said in a statement to CNN. "His performance in Season 2 of 'Cobra Kai,' being his last, was simply amazing and he stole the episode. He will be missed by me and everyone he encountered."
Garrison was born in West Virginia and made his acting debut in Starship Invasions in 1977.
Rest in peace, Rob.
