Kawhi Leonard will have much of the NBA's free agency attention to himself in the wake of Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving's decisions to sign with the Brooklyn Nets. Here's the latest on the information surrounding the Toronto Raptors star.
The NBA Finals MVP appears to be considering three teams in free agency - the incumbent Raptors and the two Los Angeles teams.
ESPN's Ramona Shelburne reported live on The Jump this evening that Leonard is "actively seeking" information on both the Clippers and the Lakers.
Some within the NBA believe that the Lakers are the favorite.
Leonard reportedly plans on meeting with the Raptors, as well.
"Kawhi will still meet the Raptors. But he is seeking info from the two LA teams," she reported.
FOX Sports 1's Chris Broussard has been hearing that the Lakers are indeed the favorite to land the former San Antonio Spurs star.
"Kawhi is 'Lakers to lose,' I’m told. Not done deal yet, but Lakers are his top choice," he reports.
It seems that Leonard will be taking his time with his decision and a final announcement won't come until sometime this week, though that's mostly speculative.
NBA free agency officially begins at 6 p.m. E.T., though there's already been an insane amount of movement.
