Details surrounding Kawhi Leonard and his free agency decision remain mostly speculative, though the NBA Finals MVP was apparently back in Toronto this evening, taking what is expected to be his final meeting with the Raptors.
Leonard, according to reports, has already met with the Los Angeles Lakers and the Los Angeles Clippers. He was reportedly set on giving the Raptors his final meeting, so it appears that he’s only seriously considering three teams.
The All-NBA forward is the only big free agent who’s yet to sign, though it appears a decision could be coming soon.
ESPN NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski said on SportsCenter this evening that Leonard’s decision is expected to come either tonight or sometime July 4.
That’s how the timeline has been described to him, anyway.

FOX Sports 1’s Cris Carter, who’s believed to have some connections within Leonard’s camp, provided his own update shortly after 6 p.m. E.T.
The update: Leonard has not decided anything.
“A LOT of premature reports out there. Kawhi has NOT made his decision yet & all 3 teams are still in it. Yes, Lakers and Clippers are still in play and I’m (100 percent) certain of this. I wouldn’t hold my breath on getting an answer any time soon. Kawhi still undecided,” he reported.

The Clippers reportedly still being in play is somewhat of a surprise, as many had speculated that he was down to the Lakers and the Raptors.
Again, though, it seems like there’s just a lot of speculation out there, with Kawhi’s camp keeping things insanely close to the vest.
The following 24 hours will have everyone within the NBA community on edge. There have been a couple of major free agency announcements on July 4 in recent years and it sounds like Kawhi could be next tomorrow.
Stay tuned for more Kawhi Leonard free agency updates.
