The San Antonio Spurs are considering trading star Kawhi Leonard. It remains to be seen who will be able to provide the best trade package for the 27-year-old All-Star.

The Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers are said to be conducting discussions with the Spurs. Additionally, the Philadelphia 76ers are also a potential trade match.

Can another surprise team enter the mix? NBA insider Chris Sheridan thinks so.

Sheridan tweeted tonight to keep an eye on the Miami Heat.

"Fresh intel: Don't count #Heat out in @kawhileonard sweepstakes," Sheridan said. "I personally believe #Sixers are the favorites, but I never underestimate Pat Riley. If he can get Kawhi, then guess who he can go after on July 6?"

The Heat have a quality veteran point guard in Goran Dragic and a few intriguing young assets such as Bam Adebayo and Josh Richardson. However, it might be a stretch to throw them into the Kawhi sweepstakes.

Sheridan, of course, nailed LeBron's return to the Cavs before he announced it in 2014.

Maybe he has another one up his sleeve here.
