The Kawhi Leonard free agency race appears to only seriously involve two teams: the Toronto Raptors and the Los Angeles Clippers.

Toronto, coming off its NBA championship, is seen by many as the favorite to land Leonard, with some thinking he'll choose to run it back with the Raptors, signing a one-and-one contract to push for another title.

Los Angeles, meanwhile, is close to home for Leonard, who's a Southern California native, attending San Diego State University. He bought a massive home nearby last year, too.

There hasn't been too much to report regarding Leonard recently, though the latest from The Athletic's Sam Amick is interesting.

A Kawhi Leonard-Jimmy Butler tandem in Los Angeles is reportedly an increasing possibility.

From Bleacher Report:

Per The Athletic's Sam Amick, sources believe a pairing of Butler and Kawhi Leonard with the Los Angeles Clippers is "looks increasingly possible."

Amick added it is "looking likely" the Philadelphia 76ers would be willing to be part of a sign-and-trade deal involving Butler if they are unable to re-sign the four-time All-Star.

Butler has been mentioned as a possibility for the Rockets, too, with Houston reportedly strongly pushing for a sign-and-trade for the All-Star forward.

NBA free agency is set to begin on Sunday at 6 p.m. E.T.
