ESPN personality Keith Olbermann has been very outspoken on social media the past few years when it comes to his political beliefs. Tuesday, he made it clear how he feels about hunting.
In response to an article written by The Clarion Ledger about a young hunter killing a rare white turkey, Olbermann asked his followers to do their best to "make sure the rest of his life is a living hell." He also called the young man a "pea-brained scumbag" and called for the writer of the story, Brian Bloom, to be fired.
Some are in agreement with Olbermann. But many are calling him out for an overreaction. Clay Travis and a few others in the industry think he went too far.
The young man, who goes by Hunter Waltman, is apparently getting threats in the aftermath. The publication itself wrote an article about it:
ESPN issued a short statement in response. The company says it's asked him not to make personal attacks.
We'll see if anything further comes of all this. Olbermann is never one to hold his tongue.
