While the college basketball season sits just a few months away coaches are working on their recruiting classes for the future. One of the top 2020 prospects just announced his decision.
Keon Johnson, a four-star shooting guard, held 13 offers, but Tennessee always stood out as the favorite. He is the No. 6 shooting guard for his class, per 247Sports.
Earlier this year, Johnson cut his list down to three teams and revealed his decision date in the process. Both decisions were made public on his Twitter account.
The three programs remaining on his list are Ohio State, Tennessee and Virginia. As for his announcement date, that was today.
Johnson took to Twitter on Tuesday night to announce his commitment to the Volunteers.

Rick Barnes and company were always expected to land the state’s No. 1 recruit and it came to fruition on Tuesday night.
With Johnson’s commitment tonight, Tennessee now holds the No. 5 recruiting class in the 2020 cycle and the No. 2 class in the SEC. It’s hot start for the Volunteers to the 2020 class as the team looks to build on their success during the 2018-19 season.
Barnes and company are positioned well for the future.
