Just before the start of the 2017-18 NBA season, Kevin Durant admitted to owning a burner account on Twitter. The Warriors' star was tweeting in the third person, causing people to believe that Durant had a secret account he used to defend himself.
Arguably the second-best player on the planet, it seemed weird that Durant would need to defend himself to random fans. On Tuesday night, he was at it again.
Although this time, he didn't hide behind a burner account to hit back at one Instagram account that called him out.
The Instagram account "Buckets Center" called KD out for not being a leader like LeBron James and Steph Curry. KD allegedly responded: "Bruh go sweep ya dorm room, u don't know hoops. Stop tagging me in this trash."
Check it out.
Durant wasn't finished there. According to the Score, KD directly messaged the owner of the account to further the conversation.
It looks like a second Larry O'Brien Championship trophy and back-to-back Finals MVP awards aren't enough for KD. Obviously athletes are entitled to use their own social media accounts the way they want and that includes Durant.
Does Durant need to lay off social media for a while?
