These days, most NBA players make a business decision when they see a free-running player coming down the lane. Kevin Love had other ideas when he saw his longtime friend and former Cleveland Cavaliers teammate LeBron James coming right at him during Monday night's game.

Love made the brave, and frankly unwise, decision to step in front of LeBron. What ensued was a masterclass in the art of dunking.

LeBron put Love on a poster. The King rose up, practically levitated and flushed home the slam.

Love isn't going to be talking to LeBron for at least the next 48 hours, as a result.

"I’m not f*cking with my guy @KingJames for atleast the next 48hrs!!!!" Love tweeted.

We don't blame you, Kevin. This was just downright nasty.

LeBron's right-handed slam was the punctuation mark on the Lakers' big 131-120 win against the Cavs.

The King dropped 38 points, dished 12 assists and grabbed 11 rebounds in the big win.

"I'm literally having the time of my life right now," James said after the Lakers finished their four-game road trip by winning two of their final three, via "The game's such a beautiful thing."

Believe it or not the Lakers are still alive in the hunt for the playoffs. They're 31-41 on the season, good for ninth place in the Western Conference and 4.5 games back of the Clippers.

LeBron and the Lakers get back to work tomorrow night against the Philadelphia 76ers.
