With Kirk Herbstreit reportedly set to become Amazon's lead NFL analyst for Thursday Night Football, fans are wondering about his future on College GameDay.

The longtime ESPN college football analyst will continue to cover the sport for the network. However, it might be unfair to expect him to continue to work every College GameDay show.

Herbstreit's travel schedule would be truly insane if that happens. He could have to be in an NFL city on Thursday night, a college city on Saturday morning and a different college city that Saturday night. ESPN's College GameDay often broadcasts from a different campus than the Saturday night game Herbstreit works.

Awful Announcing's Ben Koo broached the subject on Twitter on Monday.

If Herbstreit does become less of a permanent fixture on College GameDay, it will be the end of an era at the Worldwide Leader.

It'll be interesting to see how ESPN handles Herbstreit's college football duties moving forward.
