(Photo by Ralph Freso/Getty Images)Kyler Murray is three quarters into his first NFL regular season game as the quarterback of the Arizona Cardinals. Things are not going well.
The No. 1 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft started his first game for Arizona today in Week 1 against Detroit.
The Lions are leading the Cardinals, 24-6, at the start of the fourth quarter.
Murray’s stats are pretty brutal:
- 9 for 26 for 70 yards, no touchdowns and one interception
- Four sacks for 30 yards
- One rush for six yards
- 27.4 quarterback rating
Welp, at least it’s just Game 1.
Murray’s offensive line hasn’t been helping him much, either.
Let’s take a look in on how the #Cardinals and Kyler Murray are doing week one:

Of course, this is just Game 1, and it’s Game 1 for both Murray and his head coach, Kliff Kingsbury, who made the surprising jump to the NFL this offseason.
Still, this is ugly.
Hopefully Kyler and the Cardinals can get the ball moving in the fourth quarter and, maybe, mount some type of comeback.
