LeBron James made the biggest headline of the summer when he chose to sign with the Los Angeles Lakers. Immediately, the Lakers went back to being must-see TV.
It has already been reported that LeBron and company will take on the Golden State Warriors on Christmas Day. That should be a fun game to watch, and it will reportedly be in prime time.
As for LeBron’s first game in the purple-and-gold, it will come against the Portland Trail Blazers, according to The Ringer’s Kevin O’Connor.
The game will be played in Portland on October 18.

Lakers-Blazers is an intriguing matchup, especially considering both teams appear to be in that next group of teams in the West, behind the Warriors and Rockets. Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum will be a good early test for LA.
While no TV info is available right now, one has to think this game will be a nationally-televised game on ESPN or TNT. It is only fitting.
It will be interesting to see who the Lakers open up at home with as well.
Personally, we’d love to see a matchup with the Jazz, Spurs or Rockets.
