Alex Morgan is tied for the lead in goals at Women's World Cup in France this summer. However, she's battled through a series of injuries and is taking a beating against France today.

The United States women's national team is taking on the host-country, France, in what could be the Women's World Cup Final.

In the highly-anticipated match-up, the U.S. women entered as slight favorites in the game.

Morgan, 29, battled through a series of injuries in group play and against in the Round of 16 against Spain.

Now, she's battling the physical play against France.

The star striker was down for several minutes in her latest fall and was visibly in pain as she laid on the ground.

Morgan remained was forced to come out of the game briefly before making a return.

Like Spain, France has been incredibly physical with Morgan, who was taken out of the United States' final group game for injury precautions.

“It was just more 'let’s be smart about this,'" USWNT manager Jill Ellis said after the U.S. win over Sweden. “It’s a zero-risk game in terms of having players available for the next game.”

Morgan and the United States hold a 1-0 lead near the end of the first half against France.

The game is on FOX.
