ESPN college football reporter and Get Up! host Laura Rutledge announced some fantastic personal news recently. Rutledge and her husband Josh announced that they are pregnant and will be having a baby girl in October.
The two actually announced the news two weeks ago, but it went a little under the radar. Wednesday night, on the red carpet for the ESPYS, her co-worker Maria Taylor made it clear and obvious to everyone that Rutledge was carrying.
Rutledge, in her announcement, said that she plans on starting the college football season on the sidelines for ESPN. She said she’ll take off a few weeks after the baby is born and plans on returning to cover the end of the season.

Rutledge is one of the network’s biggest up-and-coming stars. She essentially replaced Michelle Beadle on Get Up! earlier this year and fans have been happy with the move.
Rutledge’s husband Josh is a former Major League Baseball player who played for the Colorado Rockies and the Boston Red Sox. He retired after the 2018 season.
Congrats to the happy couple on their big news.
