The Los Angeles Lakers landed LeBron James in free agency before the 2018-19 season. After landing the King, it looked like the Lakers were headed in the right direction.
However, with 14 games left before the end of the season, the Lakers are on the outside looking in. Los Angeles currently sits 7.5 games out of the final playoff spot in the Western Conference.
After failing to pull off a trade for Anthony Davis at the deadline, it looks like LeBron James is getting eager to land a star. Following the Lakers’ game against the Toronto Raptors, James and Kawhi Leonard shared an embrace and a few words.
NBA cameras captured LeBron allegedly saying “we’ll be in touch.”
Here’s the video.

Leonard hails from the Southern California area and has been linked to both the Clippers and the Lakers over the past two seasons.
Multiple reports suggested Leonard doesn’t want to play with LeBron, suggesting he’ll opt for the Clippers instead.
Leonard enters free agency following this season, and it looks like LeBron is making a push to add another All-Star to the team. We’ll have to wait and see if he has any success, but if he doesn’t, LeBron’s Lakers tenure will be in danger of being named a failure.
