The NBA saw a future Hall of Famer hang them up today. Manu Ginobili announced his retirement.
Ginobili is not just a San Antonio Spurs legend; he's an international legend as well. He won four NBA titles in San Antonio and Olympic bronze and gold medals with the Argentinian national team.
LeBron James made sure to pay his respects to Ginobili on Twitter tonight.
He tweeted a very cool send-off to the 16-year NBA vet.
Congratulations on one helluva career brother! It was a pleasure to match up against you over the years. Regular season, Finals, National Team, didn’t matter was always a treat! The game of basketball has you to thank for the most swag move in basketball right now which is the “Euro Step”!!!! God bless you, thanks for the playing the game the right way and for the competition!!!
Ginobili may not have put up crazy numbers in his NBA career, but he made a major impact on the Spurs as part of their "Big 3."
His legacy will be that of a guy who won wherever he played: in Europe, the NBA and in international competition.
