It didn't take long for Will Smith's slap of Chris Rock to turn into a meme.

Smith made headlines during The Oscars for slapping Rock across the face for making fun of his wife Jada. He then had some choice words for him after he returned to his seat.

Former Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman is just the latest person to make a new meme out of the slap.

Edelman has Tom Brady as Smith slapping Rock, who has "retirement" on his forehead.

It's a pretty clever meme after Brady announced his return to the NFL two weeks ago.

Brady was originally retired for close to six weeks before he decided to come back. Could a similar situation occur with Edelman?

Edelman was seen training with Brady last week, which has sparked some rumors that he could be planning a comeback too. He originally retired during the 2021 offseason after playing 12 seasons in the NFL (all with the Patriots).

If he does make a return, he could follow Brady to Tampa Bay, like Rob Gronkowski did when he came out of retirement.

A crazy offseason could get even crazier in the coming weeks/months.
