Aaron Rodgers said on FOX this morning that he has nothing left to prove in the National Football League.
“I don’t feel like I have anything left to prove on the field,” Rodgers told Erin Andrews. “I think it’s more about the enjoyment and the happiness and the quality of life that this game has afforded me over the years. And being able to 100 percent commit to everything that my job entails and there were many times during the offseason where I felt like I wasn’t able to fully do that. And until I was, it was a possibility.”
That’s certainly accurate.
He’s probably not getting much enjoyment on Sunday, though. The Packers are currently getting thumped by the Saints, 24-3.
It’s been a rough first game for what could be Rodgers’ final season in Green Bay. Fans are even joking that Rodgers might be intentionally sabotaging the season.
Aaron Rodgers returning to Green Bay just to sabotage their season is a tremendous conspiracy theory that I am willing to spread

That’s not happening, obviously, but it’s a sign of how bad the Packers have been on Sunday. Rodgers’ emotions were pretty clear on the bench on Sunday evening.
Tough start to the season for Aaron Rodgers 😬

Rodgers is currently 12 of 22 for 118 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions.
It’s likely on to Week 2 for Rodgers and the Packers.
