A Louisiana newspaper is calling for an apology from CBS Sports for how they handled Joe Burrow's pantsing during LSU's win over Mississippi State on Saturday.

Burrow had his pants pulled down by a defender during the Tigers' win over the Bulldogs. CBS' replay of the moment went viral on social media.

The LSU quarterback handled the moment well, poking fun at it during his post-game interview.

“I heard there was supposed to be a full moon tonight in Starkville," he joked.

The Advocate, a Baton Rouge newspaper, found less humor in the incident. The newspaper is calling for an apology from CBS.

CBS showed two replays of the incident, something The Advocate thinks was unnecessary. The newspaper added that this wouldn't have happened with a female athlete.

CBS has played a constructive role in covering LSU sports and helping Louisiana tell its story through athletics.

But in this case, the network owes Burrow, and LSU, an apology.
