Happy Halloween, Alabama fans.
While Mac Jones has played well all season, the Crimson Tide starting quarterback should play especially well on today's holiday. Jones is nicknamed "The Joker," after all.
“I guess my buddy Richie, he used to play offensive line here, he just gave me that nickname my freshman year and then it kind of just spread throughout the team mostly just because I just laugh with my mouth open kind of like the Joker,” Jones said this week.
“I have like a loud laugh or whatever. I guess that’s what it comes from and it kind of just stuck.”
Alabama, the No. 2 team in the country, is set to take on Mississippi State this evening. Jones' girlfriend, Sophie Scott, has a special outfit for tonight's game.
Sophie isn't the only one dressing up for Mac, either. The Alabama quarterback's family appears to be rocking some Joker-themed face masks in the stands for tonight's game.
That is quite the look, but it's very fitting for tonight's game.
Alabama and Mississippi State are scheduled to kick off at 7 p.m. E.T. The game will be televised on ESPN.
The Crimson Tide are looking to improve to 6-0 on the season.
