Green Bay Packers running Aaron Jones' season is over. The second-year pro was placed on injured reserve by the team today.

Jones injured his knee in Sunday's loss to the Chicago Bears. He reportedly sprained his MCL.

Green Bay put Jones on IR today and signed wide receiver Allen Lazard to the roster.

Jones leads the Packers in rushing this season, totaling 728 yards and eight touchdowns on 133 carries. He was replaced by Jamaal Williams on Sunday.

Williams rushed for 55 yards and a score on 12 carries. Fantasy football players looking for a back to add this week should consider scooping him up.

The Packers have been eliminated from playoff contention, but will finish out the regular season against the New York Jets and Detroit Lions.

This will be the first time the Packers have missed the postseason in back-to-back years since 2005 and 2006.
