Matt Wallace Aces No. 16 At PGA Championship

Matt Wallace hits an ace.

The 100th PGA Championship is well into its third round as the world's best hope to claim the year's final major tournament. Bellerive Country Club in St. Louis, Mo., doesn't know what hit it this weekend.

Golfers are tearing apart the course and the winner could sit 20-below par when all is said and done. The ease of the course has been on full display all weekend long, and Saturday is the easiest day yet.

That was never more evident than on hole No. 16. The 237-yard Par 3 saw its first ace of the weekend earlier this afternoon.

Englishman Matt Wallace flew the ball to the right-front edge of the green. The ball bounced twice before rolling into the cup for an ace.

Check it out.

Wallace, not to be confused with NFL wide receiver Mike Wallace who Jim Nantz accidentally called him, now sits at five-under for the tournament.

He won't soon forget this shot. He did make one mistake though. Wallace threw the ball into the stands rather than holding onto it for memories sake.
