USC is one of the major schools currently embroiled in the college admissions scandal and athletic director Lynn Swann is now on the receiving end of some tough criticism.
The Trojans, who have dealt with a couple of controversies over the last decade, are now dealing with another one.
Swann, who says he will not resign as a result of the scandal, plans on being at USC for a very long time.
“I would like to do it for 10 years,” he told the Los Angeles Times three years ago. “In corporate America, they look at a tenure of a CEO and they say 10 years is about right.”
At this point, though, Swann might be lucky to last just one more year.
Calls for his job are coming from all angles following this latest scandal.
“This is not a whisper. This is a shout. This is a cry for help that should be heard to the heights of USC’s sagging ivory tower…Something is terribly wrong here, and that something is Lynn Swann,” writes Bill Plaschke.
“Only a university completely devoid of leadership would continue to allow Lynn Swann to lead.”

Stewart Mandel of The Athletic added that USC’s athletic department needs to be “blown up.”
“Seriously. The front porch to your university is ugly and rotting. The neighbors are all making fun of it. Burn it to the ground and start anew. Give your supporters something they can actually be proud of for a change,” he writes.
It’s certainly not a good time for the Trojans.
Still can’t get over this line from @ArashMarkazi: "In the last 18 months, three USC athletic department employees who were working under Lynn Swann have been arrested by the FBI.” https://t.co/2neXHVihD0

Will USC end up making a major move as a result? We’ll find out soon.
