Mike Tomlin might have just revealed what the Pittsburgh Steelers plan to do with the No. 20 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Tomlin told reporters just moments ago that he's been examining this year's quarterback prospects with as much due diligence as he did when he examined top running back prospects ahead of last year's draft. The Steelers, of course, took former Alabama star Najee Harris with the No. 24 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.

It's no secret Pittsburgh has been flirting with the idea of taking a quarterback in this year's draft. Tomlin's comments on Monday seem to ensure that is indeed the plan.

It's unlikely the Steelers have their pick of the quarterback litter when they select 20th overall. Someone's going to take Kenny Pickett or Malik Willis - probably both - sooner than expected. But how knows? Maybe one slides to the Steelers.

"Pickett to the Saints and Willis to the Steelers"

If neither's available, Tomlin might take a chance on Desmond Ridder or even Sam Howell.

"ridder you are a steeler"

"There is no way Willis is there at 20"

"So we are picking a QB. I just hope it’s the right guy"

Will Pittsburgh take a quarterback with pick No. 20? It appears to be trending that way.

Tomlin and the Steelers will make their pick this Thursday night.
