The Golden State Warriors are expected to offer star guard Klay Thompson a max contract. They might want to do it, fast.

According to multiple reports, the Los Angeles Clippers are waiting in the wings for the Warriors to fail to offer Klay the max.

If Golden State doesn't offer Thompson a max deal, he's reportedly "open" to contract talks with the Clippers.

But that's not all.

After clearing cap space in a trade with the Washington Wizards, the Los Angeles Lakers are reportedly in the hunt for Thompson as well.

According to a report from Brad Turner, Thompson will "listen" to the Lakers after creating a max spot.

Earlier this week, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Thompson would be open to hearing a pitch from the Clippers if Golden State doesn't offer him the max.

"That 5-year, $190 million max offer.. If it's not there for Klay Thompson on Sunday at 6:01PM Eastern... My information is that he would be very open to going to sit down with are the Clippers," Woj said.

Now the Lakers are in play as well and could make a serious run at the Warriors' star.
