The No. 1 pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, Markelle Fultz did not have a strong rookie season. In fact, it was essentially a disaster.
Fultz battled shoulder issues and having to rebuild his jump shot. He didn't play in many games, and when he did, his outside shooting was a problem.
Many already are counting Fultz as a bust, but the Sixers reportedly still expect big things from him. If this new report from Yahoo's Jordan Schultz is correct, they could very well get them.
Schultz cites a league source who claims Fultz is a "completely different, vastly improved player." Included in that improvement is a retooled jump shot.
Of course, this could be an example of someone feeding positive info out to make Fultz look good. We won't know for sure if he is improved until the game starts.
If--and it is still a sizable if--he can show some of the form that made him the No. 1 pick in the first place, Philly will gain a huge weapon.
With the Celtics already loaded and the Raptors getting Kawhi Leonard, the Sixers need all the weapons they can get.
