Brooklyn Nets fans appear to be enjoying the start of the Kyrie Irving era. The All-Star point guard had one heck of a first game for his new team.

The Nets and the Timberwolves are currently in overtime, tied at 115-115.

Irving had 43 points, 7 assists and 7 rebounds on 15 of 27 shooting (including 6 of 12 from the 3-point line) in regulation.

The All-Star point guard had a stretch where he scored nine straight points, causing the fans at Barclays Center (and the game's announcers) to freak out.

Nets fans appear to be happy with the offseason signing.

Irving was one of two massive free agent signings for the Nets this offseason, with Kevin Durant being the other. The latter, of course, is out for the season with a torn Achilles.

So, it's going to be the Kyrie Irving show in Brooklyn for a while. Nets fans are probably OK with that after seeing what the star point guard can do tonight.
