Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon has been slowed tonight by more than the Baltimore Ravens defense. Mixon has been banged up as well.

In the first half, the second-year back left the game momentarily with some type of right knee issue. He went to the locker room, but returned soon thereafter and resumed playing.

However, after a few series in the second half, Mixon has checked out again. NFL Network cameras showed him on the sideline after being looked at.

The Bengals announced that Mixon is questionable to return.

It has been a night to forget for Mixon. He's dealing with this knee problem, and has only rushed for 48 yards on 14 carries.

Mixon's replacement, Gio Bernard, has carried three times for 23 yards and caught three passes for 16 yards. Bernard is going to get plenty of work as long as Mixon is out.

The Bengals still lead the Baltimore Ravens 28-17 late in the third quarter. Cincinnati quarterback Andy Dalton threw four touchdowns in the first half, three of them to wide receiver A.J. Green.

The Bengals have picked up only three first downs so far in the second half. Cincinnati is going to have to pick things up if they want to close this one out and get to 2-0.
