A rough night just got rougher for Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford. He just got hurt for the second time tonight.

Stafford took a vicious shot from New York Jets defensive lineman Henry Anderson and Leonard Williams after releasing a pass in the third quarter. He stayed down for a while after the hit before walking off.

Stafford was replaced by backup Matt Cassel.

Earlier in the game, Stafford appeared to injure his left knee after throwing a pass. He did not miss a play, though he did move around gingerly for the next few snaps.

Here's the earlier play where Stafford tweaked his knee.

In addition to getting whacked around multiple times, Stafford has also been intercepted three times. He's had a brutal night.

It looks like he is coming back in the game though with his team down 38-17. Give him credit for not shying away.
