The Golden State Warriors and Toronto Raptors are still fighting for the right to be named the best team in the NBA.

However, all other teams are getting jump start on the upcoming season.

One of the biggest question marks heading into the 2019-20 season is where Anthony Davis will play. After demanding a trade from the New Orleans Pelicans, it seemed the Los Angeles Lakers were the favorites to land the former college star.

However, New Orleans reportedly doesn't want to send AD to L.A., and a report suggests a new team is the favorite to swoop in.

According to New Orleans sports anchor Fletcher Mackel, the Boston Celtics have emerged as a favorite in the Anthony Davis sweepstakes.

Jayson Tatum, Marcus Smart, one of Robert Williams, Semi Ojeleye or Guerschon Yabusele and at least pick No. 14 this year doesn't seem like the best offer the Pelicans would receive.

The Lakers were reportedly willing to give up most of their core, including Kyle Kuzma and Lonzo Ball for Anthony Davis last season.

The New York Knicks are also in the conversation and have two max spots available.

We'll have to wait and see if the Pelicans receive a better offer.

Stay tuned.
