An NFL Network analyst is reportedly being considered for a franchise's GM opening.

The Oakland Raiders are reportedly interested in NFL Network analyst Mike Mayock for their vacant GM job.

Mayock, 60, played in the NFL for the Steelers and the Giants.

He's been with the NFL Network since 2004.

NFL Network insider Mike Garafolo first reported the news of the Raiders' interest in Mayock.

"A strong candidate has emerged in the #Raiders’ GM search: Mike Mayock. Sources tell me and @RapSheet the @nflnetwork draft analyst has interviewed with Oakland. He’s one of a few, as the Raiders have kept their interviews quiet. But he’s firmly in the mix," he tweeted.

Mayock is considered by some to be the top NFL player personnel analyst working on TV.

The Raiders fired GM Reggie McKenzie earlier this month.
