The Minnesota Vikings are just a couple of hours away from playing the Los Angeles Rams. It remains to be seen how much (if anything) they will get tonight from star running back Dalvin Cook.
Cook injured his hamstring in a Week 2 tie against the Green Bay Packers. He sat out last weekend's 27-6 loss to the Buffalo Bills.
Cook has been back on the practice field this week, but his status for tonight has been up in the air. It does seem to be trending in the right direction though.
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Vikings expect Cook to play, provided he is able to get through pregame warmups without a hitch.
Assuming Cook does play, he'll be on a pitch count, Rapoport says.
Fantasy owners and Vikings fans should be happy to see Cook recovering and likely being able to play. Even if his snaps are limited, he could play a key role against a Rams team that looks like the best in the league.
Besides Cook, the Vikings will look to backup Latavius Murray and rookie Mike Boone to handle running back duties.
The Vikings and Rams will kick off at 8:20 p.m. ET on FOX and NFL Network.
