The trade market for star corner Jalen Ramsey appears to be falling apart.
After it looked like Ramsey's career with the Jacksonville Jaguars was coming to an end, it seems the Jaguars and Ramsey are attempting to reconcile their differences.
According to a report from NFL insider Ian Rapoport, there is no deal in the works regarding the star corner.
"After a week of speculation, the Jaguars currently have no deal in the works to trade star CB Jalen Ramsey, and one source said the longer this goes on, the more likely it is he stays. Meanwhile, Ramsey’s trade request still stands. The wait for clarity continues," Rapoport reported.
Ramsey asked for a trade following a confrontation with head coach Doug Marrone during the team's loss to the Houston Texans in Week 2.
However, after an impressive Week 3 win over the Tennessee Titans, it appears Ramsey and the Jags are trying to work things out. Rookie quarterback Gardner Minshew looks solid enough to give the Jaguars a chance to win the division.
If Ramsey stays, the defense has what it takes to keep the Jaguars competing for the playoffs.
It will be interesting to see how this saga unfolds. Stay tuned for the latest.
