The NFL's trade deadline is quickly approaching, with several teams likely to make moves before Tuesday afternoon. Could a star running back be on the move?

It's possible, says one NFL insider.

Los Angeles Chargers' Pro Bowl running back Melvin Gordon was rumored to be on the trading block during his holdout at the beginning of the season. It looks like teams still have interest in acquiring the standout running back.

Gordon is one of several standout players who could be on the move this week, says NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

The price is "high," though.

With a few teams in need of help at running back, and with some early struggles after his holdout, expect some teams to call the Chargers about potentially dealing for running back Melvin Gordon. The price has been high, and L.A. will hold out for one, but this topic will be revisited.

Gordon returned from his holdout a couple of weeks ago. He has 36 rushes for 81 yards on the season, following a 1,300-plus total yard season in 2018.

The Chargers have some major depth at the position and could look to trade Gordon if the price is right.

The NFL trade deadline is set for 4 p.m. E.T. on Tuesday.
