Jim Harbaugh has found success wherever he's coached in the NFL or college football, which makes him one of the most popular targets for a team looking to change its culture. However, it's still hard to see him leave the Michigan Wolverines this offseason, especially with Urban Meyer retiring from Ohio State.
With several NFL teams ready to make changes this offseason, it shouldn't surprise anyone that rumors will be swirling about Harbaugh potentially going back to the NFL. In fact, ProFootballTalk is firm on saying one franchise in particular is going to make a pitch toward the Michigan coach.
The latest reports continue to link the New York Jets to Harbaugh, especially with Todd Bowles struggling. Although the team denies any reports or rumors, NFL insider Mike Florio won't change his stance.
He went on Twitter to confirm that he believes his report about Harbaugh holds true.
It makes sense for the Jets to have interest in Harbaugh, who could definitely help Sam Darnold mature as a quarterback. The future of this franchise will hinge on the progression of its young gunslinger.
Nonetheless, Harbaugh might want to stay and pursue a national championship in 2019 with the Wolverines. After all, Shea Patterson will return for his senior season.
All the rumors and speculation probably won't end in the near future, even if teams are publicly denying it.
