The Jacksonville Jaguars gave Christian Kirk the bag on Monday.

The Jags have been busy in the opening hours of free agency and wasted no time tossing a massive contract to the Cardinals wide receiver. Per Adam Schefter, Kirk's deal runs four years, $84 million; with an annual salary of up to $21 million.

The 25-year-old now leaps to being the third highest-paid WR in the NFL. The football world was pretty blown away by the agreement. "$21 [million] per year for a WR that had only 4 games of 100 yards in 4 years as a starter?" asked Dov Kleiman.

"What kind of crack is Jacksonville smoking," tweeted Deep Dive Fantasy Football.

"Appreciate the Jaguars ruining the WR market for everyone else," said one user. "Stupid money even if you're betting on Kirk to breakout."

"Congrats, Christian Kirk," tweeted TexAgs.

"They are finally adjusting these NFL contracts to include the rise in cost of gasoline."

"No way no how no sir," tweeted Football Outsider's Derik Klassen.

"I can't imagine why Davante Adams isn't happy with the franchise tag," said Nathan Jahnke of Pro Football Focus.

"[Davante Adams] right now ..." tweeted The Athletic's Vic Tafur along with a Dr. Evil GIF.

"Trent Baalke continues to have no [expletive] clue," replied All49ers' Grant Cohn.

The price just went up for a number of NFL receivers.
