Later this week, the Jaguars will make the No. 1 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. They've had months to reach an agreement on which player they'll take. Unsurprisingly, the team's front office is reportedly still split on the prospect to spend the top pick on.

According to a report, Jaguars GM Trent Baalke wants to take Georgia defensive end Travon Walker. Owner Shad Khan, on the other hand, reportedly wants Michigan edge rusher Aidan Hutchinson.

"While there’s a minority that continues to speculate the Jaguars could still take an offensive lineman with the first pick of the draft, the consensus is that they’ll go with one of the pass rushers, Aidan Hutchinson or Travon Walker — but which one? Sources continue to tell me that Trent Baalke wants Walker, but owner Shad Khan prefers Hutchinson," sources tell Tony Pauline, via Pro Football Network.

Is anyone actually surprised by this? We're not. The Jaguars have been a mess for a long time. That wasn't going to magically change before the 2022 Draft.

Jacksonville's front office has a few days to reach a decision.

"This seems very accurate because it’s the Jaguars front office"

"Who wins this argument?"

"If you're going to pay Baalke to be your GM, let him make GM decisions? I don't understand why so many owners step in and influence these types of decisions."

"Taking Walker over Hutchinson would be a crime on par with spending a first-round pick one a RB when your team has a cheap, reliable option."

"Just fire the GM then. Poor Trevor Lawrence. The Jaguars are just a disgrace and this is really on Khan."

The Jaguars will make their pick this Thursday night in the 2022 NFL Draft.
