Veteran NFL wide receiver Demaryius Thomas has reportedly been arrested in Colorado, according to a report by FOX 31 in Denver.
Thomas, 31, has reportedly been arrested on charges of "vehicular assault" stemming from a single-vehicle accident that took place on February 16.
"Vehicular assault" is defined in Colorado as driving in a "reckless manner or driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs” and if the driving is the “proximate cause of a serious bodily injury to another person.”
Thomas reportedly had two passengers in his car at the time of the accident, with all three people reportedly getting transported to the hospital.
FOX 31 had more details:
Thomas, 31, suffered minor injuries in the single-vehicle rollover crash in a vehicle he was driving earlier this month.
It happened around 12:20 a.m. on Feb. 16 on Auraria Parkway near 12th Street when he lost control of the vehicle, according to Denver police. It rolled and came to a stop in the grassy median near Speer Boulevard.
Thomas had two passengers, a man and a woman. All three were transported to a hospital, police said at the time.
Thomas was released by the Houston Texans earlier this month. The Broncos traded him during the 2018 regular season.
