After committing to NC State back in December, five-star PG and Charlotte native Robert Dillingham may not be coming to Raleigh after all.

On Saturday, the No. 1 PG recruit took to his Instagram account to announce his decommitment from the Wolfpack in a tough turn of events for NC State.

Captioned, "Respect my decision. God Bless," Dillingham wrote: "After careful consideration, I have decided to reopen my college recruitment."

"While NC State is still an option, I would like to explore all of my options. Thank you coach Keatts, his staff, and the fans for the endless support."

Dillingham is near the top of the recruiting rankings in the class of 2023. His verbal commitment to NC State was originally announced on December 1. He was the first commit of Kevin Keatts' 2023 class.

The 6-foot-1 junior chose the Wolfpack over over several finalists which included: Kansas, Kentucky, LSU and Penny Hardaway's Memphis Tigers.

Arguably the most dynamic guard in his class, Dillingham shifty ball-handler who can create offense off the dribble like very few in the country.

Coach Keatts will be hoping Dillingham ends up bringing those buckets back to Raleigh after all.
