Brian Kelly and the LSU Tigers were able to poach a member of Ohio State's defensive backfield Tuesday. Sevyn Banks, Buckeyes cornerback and former four-star recruit, will reportedly transfer to Louisiana State per 247Sports' Shea Dixon.
Banks played in 22 games for Ohio State, totaling 45 tackles and a pair of interceptions over the course of his four-year career in Columbus.
Fans reacted to Banks' transfer to LSU on Twitter.
"Banks had his moments during the 2020 season, but he was out of the rotation at CB in 2021," tweeted Marcus Mosher. "Hopefully, a change in scenery helps because he has talent."
"We got him!" a Tigers fan replied. "Landed some much needed depth at the cornerback position."
"Used to [be] one of my [favorite] players, thought he was the next 'Shon, Denzel, Jefe… wish him luck [though]," commented an Ohio State fan.
"We gotta step it up in this transfer market," said a Vols fan.
"That’s my guy!"
"Let’s Geaux!!!" replied an LSU fan.
"Wowww alright BK I see you."
"New scene could help him," noted another user. "A guy to keep an eye on for the 2023 draft. Matt House connection for KC too."
A nice get for the Tigers.
