Ohio State is in the middle of an ongoing investigation into its head football coach Urban Meyer. It involved how Meyer handled domestic violence allegations against former assistant coach Zach Smith.

While the school looks into Meyer, the coach has been put on administrative leave. He should know his fate in the next two weeks.

After releasing a statement last week, Meyer has not commented on the matter. The Ohio State football coaching staff and players have been shielded from the media as well.

Ohio State AD Gene Smith had not offered any comment until this afternoon. ESPN's Heather Dinich got Smith on the record.

Unfortunately, he didn't have much to say, deferring to the investigative process.

If Zach Smith's claim that Gene Smith informed him of the 2015 allegations against him is true, that doesn't bode well for the veteran administrator. However, the veracity of that statement has not been determined.

Stay tuned as this all continues to unfold.
