Ohio State’s marching band – also known as The Best Damn Band in the Land – has put together some incredibly innovative performances over the years. The one they pulled off against Michigan State on Saturday night is going viral.
The Buckeyes went with a space race-themed show that included a rocketship taking off into space, a reenactment of the moon landing and the phrases “small step” and “giant leap”. It was in honor of the 50-year anniversary of the moon landing.
The show caught the attention of ESPN, which tweeted out a few highlights:

The Columbus Dispatch put up a 60-second version of the show. It was incredibly well done.
As for the game, Ohio State led at the break 27-10. The Buckeyes stumbled a bit out the gate before hitting their stride on offense near the end of the half.
