A prominent NFL tight end and former first-round draft pick is reportedly on the trading block, according to the latest reports.
Bleacher Report NFL insider Matt Miller is reporting that former first-round pick O.J. Howard is surfacing in the latest trade rumors.
Howard, 24, has not had a great start to the 2019 season, though he remains one of the most-talented tight ends in the league.
The former 19th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft has 11 career touchdowns in two-plus seasons and more than 70 catches.
Potential trades involving Howard are among the “hottest rumor[s]” in league circles right now, according to the report.

There are several teams that could use an upgrade at the tight end position. Most notably, the New England Patriots are being mentioned as a possible destination. It doesn’t look like Rob Gronkowski is coming back.
Howard, meanwhile, has just 11 catches for 141 yards this season. He would likely benefit from a change of scenery.
Tampa Bay, meanwhile, is taking on Carolina this morning. Stay tuned for the latest on Howard.
