Ole Miss Baseball's Swayze Field Is Flooded

A person swims in a flooded dugout at Swayze Field.

Four college baseball teams are gathered in Oxford, Mississippi for the Oxford Regional in the 2018 NCAA Baseball Tournament.

No. 2 seed Tennessee Tech was scheduled to take on No. 3 Missouri State at 3 p.m. ET, while No. 1 seed, and regional host, Ole Miss was scheduled to take on No. 4 Saint Louis at 7 p.m. ET.

However, both of those games will be heavily delayed after a nasty storm rolled through and left Swayze Field underwater.

The stadium's dugout flooded, enough so to host a swim meet. Kind of.

The entire outfield was also under a significant amount of water.

It's not a great day for baseball. The rain appears to have stopped, but the game, obviously, remains under delay while the grounds crew works to clear the water from the field, bullpens, and both dugouts.

It'll be a late night in Oxford.
